NTHS offers rehabilitative services for patients that have physical limitations. The two programs we offer are Physical Therapy (PT) and Occupational Therapy (OT). PT focuses on improving the patient's ability to move their body whereas OT focuses on improving the patient's ability to perform activities of daily living. Our program consists of a Physical Therapist, a Physical Therapist Assistant, and an Occupational Therapist.
PT focuses on restoring the ability to move, reducing pain, and improving gross motor skills while promoting function and independence, and preventing disability. Our therapist help patients recover from injury(s) and surgery as well as help patients avoid surgery and pain medications. They understand that functionality and pain-free movement is essential to the quality of life.
OT focuses on improving the patient's ability to perform activities of daily living. Through assessment and intervention, OT can help individuals develop, recover, improve, and maintain the skills needed for daily living. Our therapist helps patients with fine motor skills, visual-perceptual skills, cognitive skills, and sensory-processing problems.
To receive rehabilitative services, patients must have a referral by a Medical Provider at NTHS. If your provider has talked to you about theses services , please call (918) 332-4451 to schedule an appointment.
